Dhanvantri Ayurveda Research

This tribe is here to help accomplish contemporary research on the Herbs and practices of Ayurveda. There is a basic principle in the Vedic Sciences often referred to as Kala-Desha-Patra. It means that you must learn the basic timeless principles of the Vedic Sciences and then apply the to the Kala (the present time, i.e. 2006), to the Desha (the present place, i.e. America and the SF Bay area), and the Patra (A particular blood or social lineage, i.e. whoever you are).
We have so much information on the herbs and practices of Ayurveda, but so much of this is based on a Kala (2000 B.C.) and a Desha (Himalyas) and a Patra (Ashramites) that is not as relevant today. And furthermore, the herbs grown 4000 years ago likely have different properties than those available today. So I want to set up tests and studies where we test, with an open mind, the herbs grown today on the people today in the West. Thanks for your support. I am hoping to start with Turmeric around Mid 2006. Thanks. Tell anybody who wants to take part to join this tribe.
